The Premier League have this week confirmed that Jarred Gillett will be the first referee to take charge of a Manchester City match in the 2026/27 English top-flight season when they take on Marco Rose's Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
The 39-year-old took charge of 28 matches across all competitions last season, with 22 of those coming in the Premier League, issuing 79 yellow cards, one straight red card, and awarding six penalties in the top-flight.
In that same period, Gillett took charge of two Manchester City matches in the Premier League; a 0-4 win away at Wolves on the opening weekend and the 0-0 draw away at Sunderland on New Year's day.
The only other City match overseen involving by Gillett last campaign was the club's Carabao Cup fourth round tie away at Swansea City towards the end of October 2025 - a game Pep Guardiola's side won 1-3 en route to claiming the trophy.
Manchester City's overall record in matches overseen by Jarred Gillet stands at 10 wins, three draws, and no defeats in the 13 such matches, receiving 17 yellow cards and two penalty-kicks in the Sky Blues' favour.
