Juventus have reportedly made it clear that Kenan Yildiz is untouchable at the Serie A club this summer, despite interest from Arsenal.

The Gunners have the Turkish international on their long-term transfer wishlist, along with Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.

Diego Simeone's side have set a reported asking price well in excess of £100m for the Argentinain striker, having rejected a £130m offer from Real Madrid earlier this summer.

Alvarez has a release clause in the region of £420m, with Atleti demanding that clause is met to sanction a departure.

That sort of fee is wildly unrealistic for Arsenal to pay, turning their attention to other transfer alternatives, though could revisit a move for Alvarez, should Atleti lower their asking price.

Barcelona were also keen on signing the former Manchester City striker, though Atleti's hardline stance has forced them to look elsewhere.

Yildiz is one of players Arsenal are understood to be interested in as Andrea Berta and co. look to strengthen Mikel Arteta's squad ahead of their Premier League title defence.

However, reports in italy from Calciomercato, claim Juve view the midfield playmaker as untouchable, like Atletico and Alvarez.

Arteta has vowed the Gunners will sign players that will make the club the best in the world. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "It's certainly the ambition of the club and the owners to be the best club in the world.

"In order to do that, you need the best facilities, the best stadium, the best supporters, and you need the best squad and the best players in the world. Those are the ones that win you football matches and the ones that can be decisive when it matters.

"That's what we try to build with the actual players that we have, and with the players that we want to sign to make the difference for Arsenal."

Liverpool and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in 21-year-old, Yildiz, while Real Madrid have been linked with a transfer swoop in recent months.

It's claimed former Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso 'was crazy' about signing Yildiz during his time at the Bernabeu, though interest from the La Liga side has settled down after his exit.

It's claimed Alonso has asked whether a move for Yildiz would be possible this summer.
