Chelsea have left Marc Guiu without a squad number for the 2026/27 season in another major indication that the striker could leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes.
The Blues published their full squad-number list ahead of Monday’s Premier League opener against Fulham, but Guiu was among the notable omissions.
His previous No.38 shirt has instead been handed to Tosin Adarabioyo.
Chelsea’s official announcement includes fellow forwards Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha, leaving Guiu without a number as things stand.

Marc Guiu Chelsea exit becomes increasingly likely
The omission follows uncertainty over Guiu’s future throughout the summer.
ReadChelsea reported in July that Chelsea had quoted one interested club £25million for the Spanish striker, although the Blues were also prepared to consider another loan.
Chelsea originally signed Guiu from Barcelona for around €6m in 2024, meaning a permanent departure anywhere close to that previous £25m valuation would produce a significant profit.
Spanish outlet AS now reports that Real Sociedad and Sevilla are among the clubs to have been linked with the 20-year-old.
Guiu remains contracted to Chelsea until 2029, with the club also holding an option for another year.
His prospects under Xabi Alonso have become increasingly difficult because of Chelsea’s extraordinary competition at centre-forward.
Joao Pedro has been handed the No.9 shirt, while Chelsea have also recruited the experienced Danny Welbeck. Emegha remains in Alonso’s first-team plans and Delap and Jackson are still at the club despite uncertainty surrounding their own futures.
ReadChelsea has already examined the challenge Chelsea face trimming Alonso’s oversized squad, and Guiu now appears to be one of the clearest candidates for another departure.
Being omitted from the squad-number list does not guarantee that a transfer will happen.
It does, however, provide the strongest public indication yet that Guiu may need to find another route to regular football before the window shuts.
