Town Make Jesus Contact Claim

Town are claimed to have shown interest in Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, who it’s believed will move on from the Gunners this summer.
The 29-year-old was left out of Arsenal’s side which won last weekend’s Community Shield but having been involved throughout pre-season.
And, according to Spain’s _[AS.com](https://as.com/futbol/internacional/contactos-con-gabriel-jesus-para-salir-del-arsenal-f202608-n/)_, Town and Everton have both contacted the North Londoners regarding his availability.
Serie A Napoli had previously been in discussions regarding the Brazilian but those talks broke down.
In any case Jesus is said to be keen to stay in England in order to become the top-scoring Brazilian in the Premier League. He has currently bagged 79 with only Roberto Firmino ahead of him having scored 82.
Town are on the lookout for another more senior number nine, talks regarding Swiss international Breel Embolo are understood to have been taking place this week, however, Jesus’s wages, believed to be £265,000 a week, would almost certainly rule the Blues out of the running.
Capped 64 times by Brazil, scoring 19 times, Jesus has a season left on his Arsenal contract having joined them after five years with Manchester City in 2022 for £45 million.
He had signed for City from his hometown club Palmeiras in January 2017.
