USA Basketball has named a 23-player pool for the upcoming fourth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers, with the group highlighted by EuroLeague standouts and several players with significant NBA experience.
The list includes Mike James and Jaron Blossomgame, two established EuroLeague players who are set to continue competing at the highest level in Europe next season.
James recently joined Anadolu Efes Istanbul after a decorated run with AS Monaco and remains one of the most accomplished American players in European basketball, having won the 2024 EuroLeague MVP award.
Blossomgame, meanwhile, joined Dubai Basketball this summer after four EuroLeague seasons with Monaco.

Nunnally adds further EuroLeague pedigree
The 23-man pool also features longtime EuroLeague player James Nunnally, who has represented Fenerbahce Istanbul, Olimpia Milan, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Partizan Belgrade during his European career.
Nunnally won the EuroLeague title with Fenerbahce in 2017 and spent the 2025-26 season with AEK Athens.

Several players bring NBA experience
Dillon Jones is among the players currently tied to an NBA organization, while former NBA players Jordan Bell, Brandon Knight, Nassir Little, Elfrid Payton, Orlando Robinson, Malcolm Hill, Tyler Smith, Nate Hinton and others are also included.
The full pool consists of Jordan Bell, Jaron Blossomgame, Pedro Bradshaw, Garrison Brooks, Darius Brown II, Kevon Harris, Dewan Hernandez, Malcolm Hill, Nate Hinton, Mike James, DeJon Jarreau, Dillon Jones, Brandon Knight, Nassir Little, Xavier Moon, James Nunnally, Elfrid Payton Jr., Orlando Robinson II, Jaden Shackelford, Tyler Smith, Terry Taylor, Jeremiah Tilmon and Gabe York.
The fourth qualifying window begins on August 27, with the second round featuring 12 teams competing for seven Americas spots at the 2027 World Cup in Qatar.
However, the 23 names should not be considered the final USA roster. FIBA notes that the roster information published for the fourth window is based on announcements made public by national federations and does not necessarily represent the players who will ultimately appear in the qualifying games.
That means the USA pool is expected to be reduced before the actual Window 4 games.
USA enter second round in strong qualifying position
The United States enter the second round of the Americas Qualifiers in a strong position after carrying a 5-1 record from the opening stage.
USA currently sit second in Group E behind unbeaten Brazil (6-0), while the Dominican Republic are third at 4-2. Mexico and Colombia are both 3-3, with Chile at 2-4. All first-round results carry over, meaning USA begin the next phase with their five victories already counting toward qualification.
In the second round, USA will play home and away against Brazil, Colombia and Chile, the three teams advancing from the other first-round group. Their first two games come on August 27 on the road against Chile and August 31 at home against Colombia.
The qualification formula is straightforward: the top three teams in each of the two six-team groups qualify automatically for the 2027 World Cup in Qatar, while the better of the two fourth-placed teams receives the Americas' seventh and final berth.
Therefore, USA do not need to win Group E. Finishing among the top three guarantees qualification, while fourth place would leave them dependent on their record compared with the fourth-placed team from Group F. With a 5-1 starting record and a two-win cushion over both Mexico and Colombia, the Americans already have considerable room for error heading into the final six games.
