Gabriel Martinelli has emerged as a transfer option for Al-Hilal as Arsenal continue to face uncertainty over the Brazilian’s future.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Saudi Pro League club have placed Martinelli on a three-man winger shortlist alongside Chelsea forward Pedro Neto and one other unnamed target.
No bid has been made at this stage, but Al-Hilal are assessing their options before deciding which player to prioritise.
The development creates another potential exit route for Martinelli after his proposed move to Galatasaray stalled.
ReadArsenal reported on Wednesday that Arsenal are hoping to sell Martinelli after receiving a €45million, around £38.4m, offer from the Turkish champions.
Martinelli has made clear, however, that Turkey is not a destination he wants.

Gabriel Martinelli Arsenal exit faces familiar problem
Romano’s latest update suggests the same issue could shape any approach from Al-Hilal.
The transfer reporter said on X that Martinelli would prefer his next move to be to another European club.
He added that Al-Hilal could make a significant proposal if they decide to make the 25-year-old their priority option.
That leaves Arsenal with an increasingly complicated situation.
There appears to be interest in Martinelli, but Andrea Berta still needs to find a buyer capable of satisfying Arsenal financially while also offering the winger a move he is prepared to accept.
Martinelli’s position has become more uncertain after the arrival of Christos Tzolis.
ReadArsenal highlighted how Tzolis increased the pressure on Martinelli after producing two assists in Arsenal’s 3-0 Community Shield victory over Manchester City.
Martinelli was not included in the matchday squad.
Arsenal therefore have a sporting argument for considering a sale, particularly with Martinelli’s current contract due to expire next summer, although the club hold an option for another year.
Al-Hilal may provide Arsenal with another financially powerful interested club.
The bigger question is whether Martinelli can be convinced that Saudi Arabia represents the right next step.
For now, his preference for Europe remains a major obstacle to Arsenal turning transfer interest into an actual sale.
