PSG have made their position clear on the future of Bradley Barcola, with Liverpool hoping to get a deal done soon
Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has rumbled on for much of the summer, with the France winger firmly established as the club’s top target following Mohamed Salah’s departure.
Paris Saint-Germain have strengthened their forward line considerably in recent weeks, bringing in Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres and Mika Godts.

Those additions have fuelled speculation that Barcola, now down the pecking order under Luis Enrique, could be given the green light to leave the Parc des Princes before the window closes.
Liverpool have already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old, and DaveOCKOP exclusively reported earlier this month that a deal had been agreed in principle, while also noting that nothing had been signed.
Since that report, PSG have omitted Barcola from their recent fixtures, including their Trophée des Champions defeat to RC Lens last weekend.
Now Fabrice Hawkins, reporting on RMC Sport’s After Foot programme, has provided fresh detail on the state of the negotiations.
According to Hawkins, PSG were informed of Barcola’s desire to join Liverpool some time ago.
He said: “PSG were informed earlier of his desire and it was accepted. There’s no intention to keep Bradley Barcola.”
Hawkins added that the expected fee will land somewhere between €130 million and €150 million, though he stressed it will not go below €120 million for Barcola.
“Everyone involved in this deal thinks there will be an agreement,” he added.
Liverpool are expected to close the deal in the region of €140M including achievable add ons. Barcola is expected to join Liverpool and we can reveal that the structure of the payments has held up the transfer over the past couple of weeks.
PSG intensified their efforts to sign Ferran Torres and Mika Godts after our exclusive news. The Reds are still in talks for Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye and a double deal is still on the cards.
Barcola has two years left on his PSG contract and has given no indication he intends to sign an extension.
He finished last season as a key figure in PSG’s Champions League-winning campaign but has featured behind Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue in Enrique’s pecking order this term.
Liverpool have spent heavily on attacking reinforcements since last summer, and Andoni Iraola is keen to add a recognised wide option before the Premier League transfer window closes on September 1, four days after the Ligue 1 window shuts on August 31.
