Enzo Maresca is currently overseeing a drastic rebuild of multiple areas within his Manchester City squad, despite just days to go until the start of the brand new Premier League season and two weeks until the close of the summer transfer window.
With a number of high-profile names already out of the door owing to big-money exits and contractual expirations - including the likes of Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid, Rodri to FC Barcelona, and Tijjani Reijnders to Al Qadsiah - the clear priority remains to strengthen in the centre of midfield.
Elliot Anderson joined Manchester City to become the club's new record transfer and Maresca's first signing as the Etihad Stadium manager, joining the side from Nottingham Forest in a £116 million agreement during the FIFA World Cup in North America.
City are believed to be eyeing a number of possible other additions to their midfield, with varying degrees of interest taken in the likes of AS Roma's Manu Kone, Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, and most prominently, Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi.
But with other players still closing in on exits, transfer attentions are also being centred on other positions, and none more so than the right-winger role as Savinho moves towards a big-money agreement to join North London side Tottenham Hotspur.
Man City eye Brazilian winger as Savinho replacement
Now, according to the information of Footmercato's Santi Aouna, with Manchester City expected to lose Savinho in the coming days to Premier League rivals Tottenham, the club are looking towards Brazil for a possible replacement.
It is suggested that sporting director Hugo Viana and City are currently interested in Palmeiras' Allan - a 22-year-old, left-footed, right winger currently under contract with the Brazilian club until December 2029.
At this stage, it remains unknown just how much Manchester City would have to pay in order to secure the player, although their strong working relationship with Palmeiras is well-documented owing to recent deals completed between the two clubs over the years.
In recent years, Manchester City have found themselves recruiting Vitor Reis from Palmeiras in a big-money deal for the highly-rated central defender, whilst also sourced Gabriel Jesus from the same club back in the summer of 2016.
Are there any other wingers on City's radar?
Winger profiles under assessment by Manchester City this summer have been extremely limited, perhaps owing to the staggering fees being paid by some clubs to recruit in the same position throughout the market.
There have been ties between City and Paris Saint-Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye as well as RB Leipzig's now-Real Madrid star Yan Diomande, although the Etihad club are understood to have been put off by the player's salary expectations.
Chelsea's Pedro Neto has been another name mentioned frequently, perhaps owing to the obvious link to City manager Enzo Maresca, however there is certainly no intention to meet the Stamford Bridge club's £100 million valuation placed on the Portugal international.
Elsewhere, it has also been reported that City eyed much younger profiles, and are believed to have made an assessment on Wolverhampton Wanderers' Mateus Mane at one stage this summer.
