Liverpool have today confirmed the exit of one player on loan, and two more could swiftly follow.
The Reds announced (via liverpoolfc.com) that Kieran Morrison has joined Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of the 2026/27 season, with the move going through in time for him to potentially make his debut for the Owls against Bradford in their League One fixture tonight (The Star).
In addition to that deal being confirmed, The Athletic‘s James Pearce reported on this afternoon on two other players who seem likely to leave Anfield imminently.
Ndukwe and Ramsay also set to leave Liverpool on loan
After excelling for Liverpool in pre-season but not yet qualifying for a UK work permit, Ifeanyi Ndukwe is travelling to Spain today to complete a loan switch to Levante.
The Austrian’s situation is due to be reassessed in January, by which stage it’s expected that he’ll have met the criteria to make him eligible to play competitively in England.
Pearce also reported that Calvin Ramsay is set to join St Mirren on a season-long loan, but with the right-back now into the final year of his contract at Anfield, the move to Paisley ‘will effectively end’ his career with the Reds.
The 23-year-old has been granted permission to travel to Scotland for completion of a medical ahead of joining the Buddies.

Ramsay and Ndukwe leaving on loan in different circumstances
Firstly, we wish Morrison the very best at Sheffield Wednesday after finalising his loan move to Hillsborough, and hopefully the Northern Ireland youngster will be a standout player for the Owls as they seek an immediate return to the Championship.
Ndukwe and Ramsay are also set to depart on loan, but in quite contrasting circumstances regarding their respective futures at Liverpool.
The Scottish right-back seems unlikely to play for the Reds again, with it being hard to envisage him signing a new contract after making just four first-team appearances in as many years as an LFC player.
The writing seemed to be on the wall when Arne Slot consciously overlooked him in favour of deploying midfielders out of position at right-back last season, even when Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley were sidelined through injury.
For Ndukwe, though, his impending move to Levante is being made with a view to him gaining sufficient high-level experience to potentially come back to Liverpool in January, having enhanced his reputation massively with his performances over the past month.
Centre-back competition has been bolstered by the loan arrival of Ronald Araujo and the return to fitness of Jeremy Jacquet, but the Austrian teenager has shown early signs of being able to carve out a long-term future at Anfield.
We look forward to seeing all of the Reds’ loan players hopefully thriving at their clubs for this season.
