During their title run, the New York Knicks frequently asked: “Who let the dogs out?” The answer to the question is the Knicks' standout guard Mikal Bridges.
He did a cover story for Dogue magazine, a periodical that covers dog fashion. His dog, Sonny, who was also at the team's championship parade, stole the show in the pictures.

Bridges shares a close bond with Sonny. He called him his “son” when explaining why he was adamant about having him at the parade.

The Knicks frequently chanted “Who let the dogs out? Who, who, who?” which is from the Baha Men's iconic song. It originated from a press conference by Mike Brown, where he recalled a flag football coaching story.
It began the mantra of the Knicks during their NBA Finals run. They beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games to win the franchise's first championship in 53 years.
Bridges just finished his second season with the Knicks. He was traded to the Knicks by their in-state rivals, the Brooklyn Nets, in July 2024. It reunited him with his former Villanova teammates, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
In his two seasons with the Knicks, Bridges hasn't missed a game. He averaged 14.4 points per game during the 2025-26 regular season, which was his lowest total since the 2021-22 season. However, he was still crucial in the postseason.
He played in 19 games during the 2025-26 playoffs, averaging 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He made almost 56% of his shots, meaning he was incredibly efficient.
Bridges was at his best during the Eastern Conference Semifinals and Finals. He averaged 17.5 and 18.5 points per game in those series, respectively. His best game, though, was in Game 6 against the Atlanta Hawks. He scored 24 points while making 10 of his 12 shots.
