Liverpool’s Alexander Isak is receiving plenty of love in the Premier League Golden Boot betting market.
Isak is finally fit enough to lead the line for the Reds entering the 2026-27 Premier League season after having his debut campaign at Anfield cut short by a broken ankle and fibula injury suffered in Dec. 2025.
Andoni Iraola’s side will need the Swede to be firing from the jump, too, with Hugo Ekitike out for several more months, Mohamed Salah gone, and transfer negotiations for more attacking players still yet to get over the line.
Ahead of the new season, Premier League bettors seem to believe Isak will re-find the form that prompted Liverpool to splash a British-record $170 million transfer fee on him last August.
Isak is taking the third-most bets of any player at Betway to finish as the league’s top goalscorer and win the Golden Boot.
The 26-year-old is taking nine percent of all bets in the Golden Boot market, trailing only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (29 percent of all bets) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (12 percent).
Oddsmakers consider that same trio to be the top-three favorites, with Haaland rated the clear frontrunner at -152 odds, followed by Isak (+900) and Igor Thiago (+1200).
There is no doubt that Isak has the quality to contend for the award, which has been claimed by Haaland in three of the last four seasons.

In fact, Isak is one of only two players, along with Salah, to outscore Haaland in a season since the Norwegian joined the Premier League in 2022. That came in the 2024-25 campaign, when Salah took home the Golden Boot with 29 goals, ahead of Isak (23) and Haaland (22).
He scored 44 league goals in just 64 appearances over his final two seasons with Newcastle before his injury-riddled 2024-25 campaign saw him finish with just three goals in 14 appearances.
After Isak, Chelsea duo Joao Pedro (eight percent) and Cole Palmer (six percent) are the most-bet players in the Golden Boot market going into the new season.
''With a new manager, no Mo Salah, and an ageing Virgil Van Dijk at the back, Liverpool have a lot of questions to answer going into this season, so it's no surprise to see that punters have been pretty cold on the Reds going into the new campaign,” said Betway spokesperson Lewis Knowles.
“Fans are clearly expecting much better from Alexander Isak this year, though, with only Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago seeing more action in our Golden Boot market.''
