Newcastle United will be without Tino Livramento and Joelinton for their Premier League opener at home to Liverpool on Sunday (4:30pm kick-off).
The 23-year-old was spotted training alongside his teammates on Wednesday, raising suggestions that he could be involved in the squad this weekend. However, Matthias Jaissle has confirmed the game will come too early for the full-back.
Livramento didn’t play any part in pre-season as he recovers from the calf injury that forced him to withdraw from England’s World Cup squad in June.

“It's for sure too early,” Jaissle said. “He had just one training where he was partially involved, so we need to be smart with his progress now. We can't wait until he's 100% ready.
“He has huge potential, I love him, and we can't wait to have him back, but we need to wait until he's 100% ready.”
With Livramento injured and Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth leaving the club, the Magpies have been without a senior right-back during pre-season, which has seen them turn to 19-year-old Leo Shahar and 17-year-old Mason Miley.

But neither are expected to start on Sunday, with Jaissle confirming Amar Dedic, who joined from Benfica for £30million on Tuesday, is “ready” to start.
Joelinton absence continues
Meanwhile, Joelinton’s absence is set to continue for another “couple of weeks” after the Brazilian missed last weekend’s friendly matches at St James’ Park through injury.
“Yeah, he's for sure out for a couple of weeks, but I don't want to go into too much detail, as there will always be specialists involved,” Jaissle added.
“The medical department is aware of it, we have top staff when it comes to that, and I'm really confident that he will be back as soon as possible.”
