Sporting stars will take part in LFC Foundation’s Kip on the Kop. The annual charity sleepout event hosted by the LFC Foundation at Anfield Stadium is now in its fourth year, with this year's event set to take place on Saturday, September 26. Participants will spend the night sleeping on the famous Kop to raise much-needed funds for those affected by homelessness.
Football stars Sammy Lee, Natasha Dowie and Becky Easton will take part in this year's event, as well as fan and comedian John Bishop and LFC Foundation Community Ambassador Chris Kirkland.
Liverpool FC legend Sammy Lee, who was also involved last year’s event, made almost 300 appearances for Liverpool across the 1970s and 80s, winning five league titles, four League Cups and two European Cups.
Natasha Dowie, who is LFC Women’s record goalscorer and club ambassador, enjoyed two spells with the Reds and was part of the side that won back-to back Women’s Super League titles in 2013 and 2014.

She’s joined by former LFC Women defender Becky Easton, who also represented the club across two spells and was also part of both title-winning squads.
Money raised will go directly to two established local programmes; LFC Foundation’s Pathway to Works, which provides sport-based employability sessions and mentoring for young people who have experienced homelessness, and the outreach and wellbeing work of Liverpool Homeless FC (LHFC.)
LHFC uses football to engage people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, temporary accommodation, social isolation, addiction recovery, and other forms of social exclusion. Close to 4,000 individuals are engaged with LHFC, with the support from the LFC Foundation.
Kip on the Kop 2025 saw more than 400 supporters sleep out on the Kop, raising an incredible £119,575.
While spending a night at Anfield cannot replicate the reality of homelessness, the event aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people without a safe and secure place to call home.
Supporters can currently claim 25% off registration using the code TAKE25LFC. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of £250 in donations. Entrants must be aged 16 or over, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Further information on the event can be found on the Liverpool FC website.
