Your call to arms, Evertonians— Hill Dickinson needs to roar tomorrow

**Let’s be honest. Plenty of you aren’t happy with how this club’s been run. Moyes gets it in the neck from some. The Friedkins get it from others. Fair enough — you’ve earned the right to moan after everything you’ve been through.**

That’s not stopping, and it shouldn’t.

But not this weekend. Not for ninety-plus minutes.

[Cundy had his pop](https://readeverton.com/cundy-everton-makeweights-talksport/). Williams has had his. [TalkSPORT reckon you’re boring](https://readeverton.com/ashley-williams-everton-boring-talksport/), makeweights, 13th at best.

We’ve answered that in print this week the best we can— new signings, new ground, decent finish last season. All well and good. But a website answering it back isn’t the same as 52,000 people making the away end shudder.

That’s on you now.

Doesn’t matter what you think of Moyes. Doesn’t matter what you think of the owners. None of that changes what’s needed from kick-off tomorrow. Every seat’s got a voice, and this club needs every one going from minute one.

Not for the manager. Not for the board. For the shirt.

A lot of you have said it yourselves — Goodison used to get louder than this. Hill Dickinson’s a different building; it hasn’t _quite_ found itself yet, and that’s down to everyone … crowd, players, the lot.

A ground doesn’t get bouncing because it’s new and shiny. It gets bouncing because thousands of people are inspired and feel the passion. Because the players feed off the crowd and because the crowd feed off the players..

So… you know the drill.

Sirens first — that noise like no other; the one that tells you it’s nearly time.

Then Z-Cars kicks in. That’s yours. Others tried to claim it, but it’s yours. Yours alone. Nobody else walks out to that the way Everton do.

Your grandads hummed that same tune back in the day. It should still do the same job it’s always done — hairs up, ready to go.

If that doesn’t get you going, nothing will. Let that be the moment the whole place ignites… again.

Everton have been an easy dig for people who’ve never had to sit through what you’ve sat through — the relegation scraps, the takeover mess, all of it.

Boring. Makeweights. Hanging around… apparently.

Well, none of them knows what this club means to you. The answer was never going to be a strongly worded piece of writing.

It’s noise, every game, home and away, whether you’re battering someone or losing.

Nobody’s saying forget anything. Have your say about Moyes. Have your say about the ownership. Keep having it — that’s part of what being a fan is.

Just save it for after the whistle. For ninety-plus minutes, put it down and get behind the lads like only Evertonians can.

Some days, it is the difference.

This club’s been waiting long enough to be taken seriously again. That doesn’t happen off the back of one good transfer window or a new stadium. It happens when a fanbase decides enough’s enough and turns their home into somewhere teams hate coming to.

You’ve got the players. You’ve got the ground. Now, again, it needs the noise to match.
