Liverpool will "definitely" sign more players this summer, head coach Andoni Iraola has insisted ahead of this weekend's trip to Newcastle in the Premier League.
Iraola's side is in talks to bring in Bradley Barcola from PSG, and has also moved for Brighton star Yankuba Minteh. Ibrahim Mbaye is another understood to have come under consideration at Anfield.
But there remains a clear need for more depth, particularly in attack, where Iraola has admitted that his team is currently lacking. There are now only 11 more days in which to do deals before the window shuts. "We will definitely sign some players," Iraola told Jamie Carragher in an interview for Sky Sports.
The full version will be released later on Friday, with the Liverpool boss previewing the new season and offering some insight into his tactical approach.
"Some deals you have to wait until the end," Iraola continued. "But the end is the important picture, the one we will have on September 1, because it is true that we are still quite thin."
Signing at least one forward player is a must, while Cody Gakpo, the Dutch forward, is wanted by Tottenham. Curtis Jones is also set to move to Inter Milan.

Earlier in the summer, Iraola was open about the need to add more signings to bolster his ranks.
"You have to be always open to new options to improve the squad," he said in July. "There are obvious situations that we know where we need to sign players. A winger, for example — we definitely need to sign a winger.
"With the center-back, with the right-back situation, in terms of defensive depth, I think we are very thin right now, so I think it's a solution that we are trying to find, yes."
Since then, Ronald Araujo has come in on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona, while Jeremy Jacquet's impressive debut against Como increased the confidence that the defense can look more solid this time around.

Adding at least one more attacker, though, would be transformational. Liverpool cannot afford to leave itself prone to an injury crisis in key departments.
Liverpool.com says: Iraola is right to say that the transfer window should be judged at the conclusion and not before. Ideally, deals would already have been wrapped up, but that sometimes isn't possible.
As long as the squad looks more rounded and complete at the start of September, that is the main thing. By that point, only matches against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest will have been played.
