PSG have accepted that Bradley Barcola will leave this summer and Liverpool now know their next written offer will be accepted as the wheels begin to turn on this crucial transfer.
I know most Liverpool fans – myself included – have become tired of the back-and-forth reports regarding Barcola, but the good news is that, one way or another, it will be over in 10 days’ time.
The Premier League transfer window closes on 1 September at 11 pm, by which point the Reds will either have signed their man or not. Hopefully, it’s the former as Barcola is essential to Andoni Iraola’s plans.
His 33 goals and 28 assists in the last two seasons, pace and trickery on the ball is exactly what’s required on the left wing, and new claims suggest that an agreement with PSG is not far off now.

Trusted journalist Fabrice Hawkins reports that the next formal offer that the Reds present will get the job done.
Speaking on the After Foot podcast, Hawkins said: “Bradley Barcola wants to join Liverpool. PSG were informed earlier of his desire, and it was accepted.
“There’s no intention to keep Bradley Barcola. The sticking point has been the valuation, where they started at €170m.
“Liverpool have made different verbal offers. They’ve made offers since the verbal one, but there hasn’t been a written offer yet because, at this level, I think the next written offer will be the one that gets it done.
“We’ve understood that it would be somewhere between €130m and €150m, but in any case, it won’t be below €120m for Bradley Barcola. Everyone involved in this deal thinks there will be an agreement.”

Speaking to Jamie Carragher, head coach Iraola has confirmed that there will be more signings to come.
So far this summer, Liverpool have signed Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo, but more is needed to flesh out a very thin squad.
And Iraola agrees. He told Jamie Carragher: “We will definitely sign some players. Some deals you have to wait until the end. But the end is the important picture, the one we will have on September 1. Because it is true that we are still quite thin.”
