Max Dowman thanked his school after receiving his GCSE results and saying goodbye to full-time education.
The Arsenal starlet missed the final week of training last season to complete his exams before becoming the youngster-ever player to start a Premier League match and then to receive a top-flight winners' medal at 16 years and 144 days.
In March, he became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history with his memorable goal against Everton. Dowman played an increasingly influentual role under Mikel Arteta while coming towards the end of his GCSEs, which he has just received his results for.
It is unclear how he did but Brentwood School have shared a picture of the youngster proudly holding his results envelope. In its post-GCSE round-up, the school said of Dowman: "After a year in which he broke too many records to list here, including becoming the youngest ever Premier League goalscorer, Max D completed his GCSEs as he moved very firmly into the world of professional football at the very highest level with Arsenal FC."
Meanwhile, Dowman mentioned the next steps in his journey and said: "I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Brentwood School for everything they have done for me during my time here.
"Although my journey at the school is ending earlier than expected as I pursue my football career, I will always be incredibly grateful for the support that the school and the staff have given me. The lessons I have learned, both on and off the pitch, will stay with me as I take this next step in my journey."
Head Coach Mikel Arteta talks to Max Dowman following the pre-season friendly match between Girona FC and Arsenal FC at Montilivi Stadium on August 01, 2026 in Girona, Spain.

"I will always be grateful for the difference they have made to my experience here. I leave with some fantastic memories and friendships that I will always cherish.
"I am excited for what the future holds, but I will always look back on my time at Brentwood with great pride and gratitude."

Dowman is set to be part of the squad when the Gunners begin their title defence against Coventry City on Friday night. However, he still won't be able to get changed with his team-mates due to his age.
Premier League rules state that anyone under the age of 18 must change in a separate room from the main group for both training sessions and games. The winger is allowed to enter the changing room for team talks but he will have to wait until the end of 2027 before he can properly join in with post-match celebrates.
