The Cleveland Cavaliers want more James Harden business. The Cavs and Harden have agreed to a new three-year, $97 million contract. The deal include a 2028-29 player option and a trade kicker.
According to ESPN, the new deal places Harden over the $500 million career earnings mark, placing him alongside of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.
Additionally, Harden is the second player in league history that sign a deal of $90 million or more after the age of 37. The new deal follows after he declined a $42.3 million player option in June.
Earlier in the week, the Cavs traded for Peyton Watson, bringing him in from the Denver Nuggets on a four-year, $88 million deal. Earlier in the offseason, the Cavs attempted another reunion for LeBron James.
