Tottenham are in advanced stages of signing Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
It’s been an incredibly busy summer transfer window for Tottenham Hotspur, strengthening in multiple areas of the pitch.
Spurs have improved their goalkeeping, defence and midfield department, bringing in six players to N17 thus far. With that, attention has quickly turned to bringing in reinforcements in the attack.
It has been evident in the last 24 hours that Tottenham are in discussions with Manchester City over a blockbuster double deal for Savinho and Omar Marmoush. It is clear that the Lilywhites are looking for plenty of firepower to their forward line before the window slams shut, and Roberto De Zerbi has identified Savinho and Omar Marmoush as the top targets.
Omar Marmoush agrees personal terms with Tottenham
Transfer news guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed on X that Spurs have found a breakthrough in talks with Manchester City for the signing of Savinho. The agreement is expected to be worth more than £75 million, and the player is set to travel to North London for the medical.
In a separate tweet, Romano mentions Marmoush has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham. Negotiations between the two clubs for the Egyptian international are at advanced stages.
Both Savinho and Marmoush are keen to get regular minutes, having found themselves on the periphery at Man City last season. The duo have been exploring the possibility of making a move to White Hart Lane to relaunch their careers in the Premier League. Roberto De Zerbi views the pair as priority targets as he aims to bolster the offensive unit before the transfer window shuts.

Spurs keen to agree on a fee with Man City for Marmoush
As far as Marmoush is concerned, the expectation is that the 27-year-old will soon get the green light to travel for a medical.
The Egyptian star is yet to show up in the Premier League on a consistent basis, but with regular opportunities, consistent backing and understanding of his teammates, he could explode at any moment in this division. Marmoush was a prolific goalscorer at his former club Eintracht Frankfurt, netting 37 times in 67 appearances, and De Zerbi will be keen to help him get back to those levels at Tottenham.
The versatile forward currently earns £295,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium, making him the third-highest earner at City. It is expected that the Cairo-born star will bag a bigger wage packet at his potential new club, but even if he moves to N17 on the same terms, he automatically becomes the North Londoners’ highest earner.
Sandro Tonali, the club-record signing from Newcastle United, is Spurs’ highest earner at £250,000 a week, including bonuses. So, the Hotspur Way chiefs putting Marmoush close to an eye-watering £300,000 a week will mark a significant shift in the club’s approach as we aim to compete with the best sides in the division for elite talents.
