Former Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah enjoyed a heartwarming reunion with inspirational Liverpool fan Isaac Kearney in Turkey.
Isaac, eight, has become a cult hero among the Reds’ faithful over recent seasons. The young fan went viral on social media back in 2024 with his renditions of his Liverpool-themed songs, while playing with his toy guitar. And that led to meeting both Salah and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
The pair met Isaac - who was born with the rare genetic disorder Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome - in a surprise visit to his school in December 2024. They then offered him the chance to tour their training ground and meet the rest of the squad.
Isaac then watched a training session, before being named as an official mascot for the Reds’ Premier League showdown with Manchester City - a game that Liverpool won 2-0.
Speaking at the time, Isaac’s mum Melissa, said: "They were so caring towards Isaac. They were so genuine, I couldn't have wished for anything better, really. They were lovely. We were all treated like we had known them for a long time."
She added: "He [Salah] was asking Isaac, how was school, has he been going to the game, things like that, so that was really nice."
Salah may have now departed Merseyside, joining Turkish side Trabzonspor, but the pair's adorable friendship is still going strong.

The youngster was flown out to Turkey on a Turkish Airlines flight this week and was given special access to Trabzonspor’s training ground. Isaac - who was wearing the shirt of Salah's new club - shouted ‘surprise’ across the pitch, which triggered Salah to break into a beaming smile, before he walked over and gave his friend a hug.
Isaac then met former Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who gave him his gloves. The young Liverpool fan’s day was not finished there though.
Once again, he got the chance to be a mascot ahead of Trabzonspor’s clash with Hungarian side Ferencvaros. Salah and Isaac walked out onto the pitch hand-in-hand, with the latter cheekily asking “are you going to score for us?”

Isaac posted a picture of him and his hero on social media in the aftermath and wrote: "Teacher - What did you get up to during the summer holidays Isaac?
"Isaac - Me? I flew all the way to Turkey and walked out in front of a crowd of 40,000 fans with my friend the Egyptian King!"
