Enzo Maresca says the club knows exactly what we need to do ahead of the transfer window closing in just under a fortnight.
City have signed Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga and goalkeepers Gerónimo Rulli and Pierce Charles so far this summer but have said goodbye to John Stones, Bernardo Silva, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Aké, James Trafford, Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders with others linked with moves away.
Maresca insists there’s calm and clarity as the Blues look to do business before the 1 September deadline a week on Tuesday.
“No, I’m not worried or concerned,” he said.
“Since day one we’ve known exactly what we need and we are working together with the Sporting Director and the club.
“It’s 11 days to go and many things can happen.

“We don’t have minimum or maximum number. Depends a little bit. I said after the last game if we win or lose games we are not going to change our perspective to change our idea of how many we need.
“We know exactly what we need and how many we need and then we will see.
“I think we have a good squad for sure. It’s a context, it’s not an excuse, when you make many changes, not only the manager, how many years were Rodri was here? John was here? Ake was here? Bernardo was here? It’s a big change but it’s not to say we won’t be ready to compete.
“We need to be ready to compete and I want to compete.
“The reason why I am here is I want to win titles and to carry on what this club and organisation have done for the last 15 years.
“Where we are now is a bit complicated because we started a one month ago but the intention is to compete as soon as possible.”
Maresca will be hoping to begin his Premier League reign as City boss with a win as we welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad on Sunday, kick-off 14:00 (UK).
The Blues head into the game following a 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield, with four of our starters seeing their first action of the season at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium after the World Cup.
Maresca says all focus now is on the Cherries as he looks to put smiles on the faces of City fans from Sunday and beyond.
“The Arsenal game we wanted to win, we didn’t win and after analysing the game for different reasons, now our focus has to be about Bournemouth, the Premier League and all the games we have ahead,” he added.
“We know when we win games fans are happy and I’m happy when we win games. “When we don’t win everyone is upset and you sleep less.
“So it is important to win games because we all are more happy and no doubt we will win games.”
