Benoit Badiashile has passed the second stage of his Napoli medical and joined Massimiliano Allegri’s squad as his potential €30million departure from Chelsea moves into its final stages.
The France international travelled to Italy earlier this week after Chelsea gave him permission to complete the move.
ReadChelsea reported on Sunday that Badiashile was due to undergo his Napoli medical after the two clubs moved towards an agreement over his departure.
Badiashile initially underwent examinations at Villa Stuart in Rome before further testing was required on Thursday.
Repubblica reports that the second stage of his medical included additional cardiological checks, with no problems emerging.
The 25-year-old was subsequently able to travel to Naples and join Massimiliano Allegri’s first-team group.

Benoit Badiashile Chelsea exit moves closer
The development represents clear progression from Chelsea’s position earlier this week.
Badiashile had been waiting to complete the medical process before the transfer could move towards its final formalities.
Rai also reported that the additional examinations were precautionary, with no indication that the deal was in serious danger.
Napoli are expected to pay Chelsea €3m for an initial season-long loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent for another €27m in June 2027, according to Repubblica.
That means Chelsea could eventually receive a €30m package, although the majority of that figure remains dependent on Napoli exercising the purchase option.
Badiashile’s departure would continue Xabi Alonso’s significant reshaping of Chelsea’s centre-back department.
ReadChelsea reported on Thursday that Chelsea had already reached an agreement with Crystal Palace over Axel Disasi, while other defenders have also faced uncertainty over their Stamford Bridge futures.
Chelsea have been attempting to reduce a crowded defensive group while identifying the players Alonso wants to retain for his first Premier League season.
For Badiashile, Napoli offers an opportunity to rebuild momentum after an injury-disrupted period in west London.
For Chelsea, the immediate financial return is relatively modest.
The larger benefit will only arrive if Badiashile performs well enough in Italy for Napoli to activate their €27m option next summer.
His medical process has now been completed successfully.
