Big name£300k-a-week star‘OPEN’to joining Arsenal

Arsenal have been handed a potential boost in their long-standing pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with the Galatasaray striker reportedly open to a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Osimhen has emerged as one of the most prolific forwards in European football over recent years and continues to be heavily linked with a move to the Premier League. Reports this week claim the Nigeria international would be willing to consider joining Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s side continuing to monitor his situation ahead of the transfer deadline.

The Gunners’ interest in Osimhen is not new. Arsenal have been linked with the striker for several transfer windows, and his availability has reportedly been raised during discussions with Galatasaray. The two clubs have held talks, although reports differ over whether those discussions have progressed into formal negotiations for the forward.

That uncertainty means there is still a considerable amount of work required if ARSENAL are to turn their interest into a completed transfer.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli in 2025 for a reported €75 million and has continued to establish himself as one of the club’s most important players. His goalscoring record and physical attributes have made him an attractive option for clubs looking for an established No.9.

Arsenal already have Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz available in their attacking ranks, but reports suggest the club could still consider adding another elite forward as they look to compete on multiple fronts during the 2026/27 campaign.

There have also been suggestions that Arsenal’s discussions with Galatasaray could be connected to the Turkish club’s interest in Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. A possible swap arrangement involving Martinelli has even been reported, although there is no indication that such a deal is close to being completed.

For ARSENAL, Osimhen’s reported willingness to consider the move could nevertheless be significant.

The Nigerian has long been viewed as a player capable of making an immediate impact in the Premier League, and his pace, strength, movement and finishing would give Arteta another devastating option in attack.

However, Arsenal would still need to agree a deal with Galatasaray, and the Turkish champions are under no obligation to sell one of their biggest stars
