Ezri Konsa has completed his transfer from Aston Villa to Arsenal. The England international has signed a four-year contract with the option of a further year after passing his medical.
The deal is worth £51million plus £4million in potential add-ons. Konsa strengthens Arsenal’s options at both centre-back and right-back following the extended absences of William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.
The 28-year-old made 286 appearances for Villa after joining from Brentford in 2019 and has earned 28 England caps. He was a regular for Thomas Tuchel’s side at the World Cup and ranks among the Premier League’s most consistent performers, with high marks for duel success and passing accuracy last season.

Arsenal viewed Konsa as an ideal fit due to his experience, versatility and homegrown status. The club currently sit at the maximum number of non-homegrown players in their 25-man squad, making the England international’s registration particularly useful.
