The 2026/27 season is upon us, and Chelsea kick off their season on August 24 against Fulham. It’s been all change at Stamford Bridge this summer, with plenty of incomings and outgoings, and Xabi Alonso coming in as the club’s new manager. Chelsea legend John Terry has appeared via his TikTok channel and predicted the results from Chelsea’s first five games.

Xabi Alonso’s arrival at Chelsea has been well received by the club’s fans, despite the generally disastrous BlueCo thus far. It’s been a busy summer at Stamford Bridge, with players such as Morgan Rogers and Maxence Lacroix joining the new era under Alonso.
Players have also departed, with Marc Cucurella, Tyrique George and Trevoh Chalobah leaving, with others seemingly set to follow. There’s been plenty of change at the Bridge, but the changes felt needed, and optimism around the club appears to be the highest it’s been for some seasons.

Looking ahead to how the first five games in the league this season would go, Terry said: “Here’s my predictions for Chelsea’s first five games of the season.”
Fulham 1-2 Chelsea
Chelsea 2-0 Brighton
Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 2-0 Hull
Brentford 1-2 Chelsea
“Chelsea sitting top of the league after five games is my prediction,” said Terry.

The Last Word on Chelsea’s First Five PL Fixtures
Watching Chelsea during pre-season, it’s clear to see the improvements since the first game. The patterns of play became more visible by the Real Sociedad game at Stamford Bridge.
They have made some eye-catching signings, while a number of players have left, with more set to follow. The Blues have no European football this season, giving Alonso the perfect opportunity to work with a smaller squad and improve drastically on last season’s turgid tenth-place finish.
