Leeds United have seen an initial loan approach for Mykhailo Mudryk turned down by Chelsea. Leeds are keen to take the Ukrainian on loan for the season.
However, their first offer has been knocked back by the Blues, but talks are ongoing.
Mudryk is now able to compete having seen his anti-doping charges be lifted this summer. He has not featured in the Premier League since November 10, 2024, when the west Londoners held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Many clubs have been linked with a loan move for the former Shakhtar Donetsk ace, who cost the Blues £89m when he signed in January 2023.

A number of interested parties are monitoring Mudryk's situation closely, with Chelsea willing to loan him out for the upcoming season in a bid to secure him more first-team football.
While Leeds have made their move for Mudryk, no decision had been reached at the time of writing regarding where the 25-year-old will ply his trade this season.
Leeds' initial offer for Mudryk fell short of Chelsea's expectations, according to football.london, but the Whites could still return to the table.

Leeds' focus this season has mainly been adding to their backline. Central defenders Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi have arrived from Sassuolo and Borossia Monchengladbach for a combined £39m.
Daniel Farke's side also broke their transfer record to bring James Trafford to Elland Road from Manchester City for £40m.
However, the only addition to the front-line has been the free transfer of Harry Wilson, who joined the club after his contract with Fulham expired.
Leeds' need for attackers was also amplified after they loaned Joel Piroe to West Ham, who will join the club permanently if the Hammers secure promotion back to the Championship.

Farke has already made it abundantly clear Leeds needs more attacking options. After the pre-season clash against AC Milan, Farke said: "In comparison to our Championship side, we have not improved in the offence.
"We are not prepared yet for a long Premier League season. We are capable of playing at a good level but in order to be ready and to win games at this level… you need players who can score goals and give assists.”
Leeds' Premier League campaign begins with an away clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tomorrow afternoon.
