Liverpool are considering a new bid for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh. With 10 days remaining until the summer transfer window closes, Liverpool are expected to be among the busiest Premier League clubs before the deadline.
Jeremy Jacquet has arrived at Anfield this summer after the Reds agreed a deal to sign the French defender during the January transfer window, while Victor Munoz is the only other new arrival during the close season.

Liverpool need to strengthen following an underwhelming 2025-26 campaign, with a change in the dugout and the departures of Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah leaving the squad in need of reinforcements.
The Reds saw a £50million bid for Brighton winger Minteh rejected on Thursday, but they are now considering an improved offer.
According to Ben Jacobs, Liverpool would need to increase their bid from £50million to around £60million to reach an agreement with Brighton.
Jacobs told talkSPORT: “Yankuba Minteh has been a target for some time. But I don’t sense that it’s definitively Minteh and Barcola as 1 and 2. Although the other way round, of course.
“I think it’s more Barcola as number 1 – a must-get if they possibly can, and then there are 3 or 4 other options that Liverpool have enquired about and bid on.
“Liverpool are now working with Andoni Iraola to assess whether it’s worth going in with a second bid for Minteh. If they hit around £60m, I think that would be a very difficult offer for Brighton to turn down.”
Minteh has been identified as a player Andoni Iraola would like to bring to Anfield. The 44-year-old coach showed at Bournemouth that he values explosive pace, with players such as Antoine Semenyo and Eli Junior Kroupi thriving under him. Minteh would fit that profile perfectly.
Liverpool’s desire to add pace to their attack has been clear this summer, with Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye among their key targets.
The Gambian star is expected to remain sidelined until October after undergoing leg surgery, meaning he will miss a significant portion of the early season.
