Liverpool are working hard to add to their attacking options before the transfer window slams shut in ten days.
Talks are ongoing with PSG for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, but those deals haven’t yet been completed despite moving in the right direction.
Earlier today, we reported that Brighton have rejected Liverpool’s second bid for Yankuba Minteh, with the Seagulls valuing him at around £70m.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has doubled down on those claims, adding that the Gambian has already agreed personal terms with the Reds.
Yankuba Minteh agrees personal terms with Liverpool
Ornstein already confirmed minutes ago that Brighton’s asking price is £70m. However, two interesting bits of detail have been added by Romano.
The first is that Minteh has agreed personal terms with Liverpool, which is a huge boost and a clear indication that he wants the move.
The second is linked with Barcola. Romano has explicitly mentioned that Liverpool’s pursuit of the Gambian is not related to that of the PSG man.
Long story short, they are looking to sign both players to add some much-needed quality to Andoni Iraola’s options on the flanks.
He wrote on X: “Liverpool submit £60m proposal for Yankuba Minteh after personal terms agreed with Gambian winger.
“Negotiations are underway with Brighton as LFC are optimistic about signing Minteh. Not an alternative but in addition to Bradley Barcola, who remains the top target.
