Arsenal Women have confirmed the permanent departure of 19-year-old winger Vivienne Lia to Eintracht Frankfurt. The England youth international has signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2030.
Lia joined Arsenal’s academy in 2021 at the age of 14 and made her senior debut in February 2024 during a League Cup quarter-final win over London City Lionesses. She signed her first professional contract in January 2025 and leaves having made two first-team appearances.
The winger gained valuable experience on loan at Nottingham Forest in Women’s Super League 2 and later at Swedish side Hammarby, making 12 appearances and scoring once in Sweden after being recalled. Arsenal confirmed the transfer as Lia takes the next step in her career in the Frauen Bundesliga.

Lia said: “It feels great. I’m very happy to be here and to take the next steps in my career at Eintracht. It’s exactly the right step for me, and I’m really looking forward to this new chapter. Eintracht Frankfurt is a big, powerful club with ambitions. I could immediately identify with that. When this opportunity arose, I had to seize it.
“I already know two players, Amanda Ilestedt and Danique Tolhoek, who I’m really looking forward to playing with. I’m an attacking player who likes to have the ball, I’m creative, I want to create things, score goals, and provide assists. I’m a player who loves the mix of creativity and freedom on the pitch.”
Sporting director Babett Peter added that Lia possesses talent, international experience, robustness, speed and one-on-one skills that will add another dimension in attack. Lia will wear the number 24 shirt.
