Curtis Jones has completed his transfer from Liverpool to Inter Milan, leaving behind the club for whom he has played since childhood.
Having undergone a medical on Friday, Jones’ move to Inter is now official.
After a summer of haggling, the clubs finally agreed on a £30 million fee for the 25-year-old whose contract had been set to expire in 2027.
Inter will pay an initial £25.6 million with the remainder negotiated in achievable add-ons.
The Liverpool-born midfielder has now signed a five-year contract at Inter and will reportedly earn about £105,000 per week before tax.

There is also said to be a 10 percent sell-on clause in the package, which will entitle Liverpool to a portion of any future sale.
The Italian giants are currently managed by Cristian Chivu, who guided them to the league and cup double last season.
Jones’ exit leaves Liverpool with four senior central midfielders: Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.
While some are calling for additional signings, Trey Nyoni is expected to play a bigger role this season and a potential loan move for James McConnell has been put on hold.

Given the over-inflated fees for which players are moving this summer – Elliot Anderson to Man City for £116 million being one – £30 million is a low sum for a player of Jones’ talent.
Liverpool were not actively looking to move Jones on, but it was the player who wanted to leave.
This may come as a surprise to many. After all, he is a Liverpudlian and the Reds are deemed a better team than Inter, despite last season’s failures on Merseyside.
At 25, though, Jones wants to be a key part of a high-level side, not a part-time player as he may have been for Andoni Iraola.
Over the course of last season, Jones’ relationship was visibly breaking down with Arne Slot and it would have been no shock to see him leave this summer.

When Iraola arrived, there was hope that there could be a fresh start. Unfortunately, Jones evidently did not feel he would play the role he desires under the new coach.
Alongside John Stones and Djed Spence, Chivu’s Inter are growing and looking to really compete in Europe next season.
Jones will want to be at the heart of the manager’s plans, who also has Piotr Zielinski, Nico Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu to pick from in midfield.
After 228 appearances and 22 goals, Jones leaves Liverpool having never quite reached his potential.
He does depart with medals from two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups, the FA Cup and the Club World Cup – a tally to match most modern-day Reds.
