Bukayo Saka has doubled Arsenal’s advantage against Coventry City, putting Mikel Arteta’s side 2-0 ahead in their Premier League opener at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal had already taken control of the contest through Kai Havertz, who opened the scoring with a clinical first-half finish.
Saka has now added the champions’ second as Arsenal begin to turn their growing dominance into goals.

The England international started on the right of Arteta’s attack after being cleared to feature despite a carefully managed build-up following the World Cup.
Arsenal’s confirmed XI saw Saka start alongside Christos Tzolis and Havertz, with Viktor Gyokeres again among the substitutes.
Havertz had broken Coventry’s resistance earlier in the game after Riccardo Calafiori created Arsenal’s opener.
Saka’s goal has now given the home side breathing room as they look to begin their Premier League title defence with three points.
Arsenal had steadily increased the tempo after a competitive opening period, with Coventry initially doing enough to restrict Arteta’s side around their penalty area.
The champions have now found the breakthrough twice.
