Arsenal began the defence of their Premier League title with a dominant 3-0 win over Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium. Christos Tzolis was the standout performer on an encouraging evening for several key figures.

Tzolis earned the highest rating of 9 for an electric display. His pressing helped create the opener and he provided the ball across goal for Saka’s strike. The Greek winger ran the visitors ragged with direct running and excellent decision-making.

Saka received an 8 after showing encouraging signs of a return to his best. Free of recent injury concerns, he finished alertly and repeatedly cut Coventry open. Declan Rice and Odegaard also earned 8s for powerful and controlling midfield displays.
Ben White impressed with constant overlapping threat, while Myles Lewis-Skelly continued his strong form. New signing Ezri Konsa was not involved and Bruno Guimaraes remained absent with a groin issue.
