New Los Angeles Lakers big man Kevon Looney has delivered a message to the team's fans, outlining what he hopes to bring from his championship years with the Golden State Warriors.
Speaking in a video shared on the Lakers' social media accounts, Looney pointed to the experience and habits he picked up while playing alongside Golden State's veteran core.
"Some of the things that I learned with the veterans that I played with. Some of the championship tendencies and knowledge that they've given me. Hopefully, we can start this journey of winning one together," Looney said.
At the same time, the 30-year-old made it clear that he does not view himself solely as a veteran mentor and expects to learn from his new teammates as well.
"Also, just learning from them, the NBA is always evolving, players are always changing, and there's always new stuff coming to the league, and I wanna learn from them as well."

Looney excited to finally play alongside Doncic
Looney also singled out Luka Doncic, whom he spent years facing as an opponent in the Western Conference.
"I'm excited to play alongside Luka; he's one of the best players in the league," Looney said. "Got to compete with him all these years, and he's always a problem to play against, so I'm glad to be on his side this time."
Looney joined the Lakers on a one-year, $3.9 million deal this offseason after spending the 2025-26 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans. Los Angeles officially announced his signing on July 13.
Before his brief stay in New Orleans, Looney spent the first 10 seasons of his NBA career with Golden State and won three championships with the Warriors. He has appeared in 89 career playoff games, giving the Lakers another experienced postseason presence.
Asked what Lakers supporters should expect from him on the court, Looney pointed directly to the qualities that have defined his career.
"Lakers' fans can expect a lot of energy, a lot of hustle and a lot of rebounds," he said. "That's something that I've been kind of known for, and I want to bring that experience to the Lakers."
Looney averaged 2.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 14.6 minutes across 21 games for New Orleans last season.
