**Christos Tzolis** talked about his latest contributions to **Arsenal** as the new campaign kicked off.
The reigning **Premier League** champions opened the 2026/27 schedule with a 3-0 victory against **Coventry City** at the **Emirates Stadium**, and their new left winger was a standout figure.

The _Gunners_ cruised to three points on Friday thanks to goals from **Kai Havertz**, **Bukayo Saka** and **Martin Odegaard**. Tzolis put in another impressive performance, delivering the ball into the box that produced Saka’s goal in the 23rd minute. Delivering the goods just days after the **Community Shield** success against **Manchester City**, the summer signing is feeling confident about his role in the squad.
_“It was a great performance from everybody in front of 60,000 people. From the first minute, everybody was ready to win this game. I was very happy to have this performance, and we had a great game, so I'm very, very happy._
_“I'm happy that I helped my team to win these two games. I felt the energy from the fans, especially in the first half. There was a lot of excitement when I had the ball and that gave me motivation to go with confidence in my actions. I felt it today and I hope that will be for the next games as well._
_“I'm always trying to be involved to help my team and to make the right decisions. My teammates make it easier for me when they finish the actions or give the pass to me. Everything connects with each other._
_“Everybody is at a high level and understands each other very quickly. That's a big difference with a big team. When you are champions of England, it means you're at the top level, so everything makes it easier, even me as a new player, to adapt quickly. Thanks to my teammates, they're at the highest level._
The forward had actually made his first **Premier League** appearance in September 2021, starting for promoted **Norwich City** in a 1-0 defeat against **Arsenal** at the **Emirates Stadium**. He played 14 times for the _Canaries_ as they suffered relegation to the **Championship**, and he believes that experience has enabled him to integrate into life back in English football much easier this summer.
_“That was a good challenge back then \[at Norwich.\] It was totally different, but I learned a lot of things. I knew how the_ **_Premier League_** _is, how physical it is, and I improved a lot in the last four years when I was at different clubs to be ready and perform at the highest level._
_“I was feeling I had to be physically very strong first and then mentally as well, because it's very important to be mentally ready to play in the_ **_Premier League_**_. You learn a lot of stuff back then and now I have to show it.”_
