It has been a productive offensive offseason for the Cleveland Browns, and the latest NFL rumors project the team could be forced to trade one particular wide receiver before Week 1. Former third-round pick Cedric Tillman is believed to be on the trade block this upcoming campaign, as the wide receiver received an 8 on the trade meter. Assuming Moe Moton of Bleacher Report used a 1-10 scale, this likely signals the end of the former Tennessee product as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. Last season, the pass-catcher finished the 2025 campaign with 21 receptions for 270 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, averaging 12.9 yards per catch.
It wasn’t the numbers the Browns expected, which convinced them to draft KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston this offseason. Both receivers have flashed throughout the preseason, including NFL Training Camp. With Jerry Jeudy still considered in Cleveland’s long-term plans, the Browns could sell Tillman after this year’s preseason.
“The Browns have a lead veteran receiver and high-upside young talent behind him on the depth chart, which leaves little room for Tillman to contribute on a week-to-week basis. While he’s shown flashes here and there, the 26-year-old has missed 13 games because of injuries,” Moton said.

Although Jeudy is also considered a trade candidate this year, the Browns probably wouldn’t take long to find a trade partner for the former third-rounder. Cleveland is likely to keep Jeudy, but could sell him for a high draft pick if the Browns have another disastrous year.
Meanwhile, the Browns getting any draft capital for Tillman may be difficult. He could generate interest, but teams might be waiting until he’s released. Either way, the pass-catcher could be in a new uniform come Week 1 of the regular season.
