Arsenal receive blunt€100m Kenan Yildiz message from Juventus

Arsenal have received a firm response over their interest in Kenan Yildiz after Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti insisted even a huge offer would not change his desire to keep the 21-year-old.

The Gunners have continued to consider attacking additions before the transfer window closes, with Yildiz emerging again as one of the players on their radar.

However, Juventus have consistently resisted interest in the Turkey international and Spalletti has now publicly reinforced that position.

Luciano Spalletti responds to Arsenal and Kenan Yildiz talk

Speaking ahead of Juventus’ opening Serie A fixture, Spalletti was asked about the possibility of clubs spending heavily to prise Yildiz away from Turin.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Juventus boss made clear that he wants the attacker in his team this season.

“They can offer whatever they like,” Spalletti said.

Football Italia reports that the discussion surrounding Yildiz included the possibility of another club being prepared to spend around €100million on the Juventus forward.

Spalletti added that Yildiz’s future is already important at Juventus and backed the youngster to demonstrate his full potential with the Italian giants.

It represents another significant obstacle for Arsenal.

ReadArsenal reported earlier this week that the Gunners were exploring a potential move for Yildiz as Mikel Arteta considered his options on the left side of attack.

Arsenal may need to look elsewhere

Juventus remain in an extremely strong negotiating position.

Yildiz only signed a new contract in February which runs until June 2030, while Spalletti’s comments leave little suggestion that the Italian club are actively preparing for his departure.

Arsenal can still test that resolve if they view Yildiz as the right long-term attacking addition, but the price required to even create a conversation appears substantial.

The more important question for Andrea Berta is therefore whether pursuing Yildiz deep into the window represents the best use of Arsenal’s time.

Spalletti could hardly have made Juventus’ current position clearer.
