Michael Penix Jr. cleared for full-team work

INDIANAPOLIS — Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has cleared his final hurdle.

After meeting with his doctor on Thursday evening, the Falcons quarterback has been given the green light to return to 11-on-11 drills in practice, Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters after the team's [34-6 victory](https://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/game-breakdown-what-happened-in-falcons-preseason-game-vs-indianapolis-colts) in their second preseason game.

"He is cleared for 11-on-11," Stefanski said. "He'll practice Monday in team periods."

While Penix has participated in every practice since training camp began, he had not yet been cleared for any contact or full-team work. Therefore, Saturday's revelation marked the end of Penix's path back to full activities and the beginning of a new chapter for the third-year passer under this current coaching staff.
