TAMPA BAY, Fl. (WIBW) - The Kansas City Chiefs came out on the losing end of a preseason battle in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers held on to a 16-15 win after Harrison Butker missed a 43-yard field goal with 3:27 remaining in the 4th quarter.
Butker also missed an extra point in the 3rd quarter. He hit a 69-yard field goal as time expired in the 2nd quarter, in addition to 45 and 58-yard kicks earlier in the period.
Rookie running back Emmett Johnson scored Kansas City’s lone touchdown. He totaled 35 yards on 8 touches (7 carries, 1 catch).
The Chiefs finish off the preseason on Friday, Aug. 28 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Seattle Seahawks.
