Hull City look unlikely to secure a deal for Real Betis winger Pablo Garcia, despite the Spaniard being on the verge of joining the Premier League side, Hull Live understands.
It was expected that the 20-year-old would be at the MKM Stadium over the weekend to complete the formalities of his move to England, with a view to him training on Monday and being in the squad for Tuesday night's Carabao Cup tie against Stoke City.
It's understood that it is now unlikely to be the case, with sources suggesting Real Betis have changed the agreement on the financial package already agreed with the Tigers.

City had struck a deal to sign the Spanish Under-21 international for around €5m (£4m), with a 50% sell-on clause inserted into the deal, but it now appears the La Liga side wants to increase the initial fee for Garcia beyond the €5m agreed last week.
Owner Acun Ilicali said at the back end of last week that the deal was '90% complete' while Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini suggested on Friday that the winger would play his last game against Real Sociedad, before leaving to join City.
Following that 1-0 win over Sociedad in their season opener, Garcia was seen waving to the club's supporters in what many perceived to be a goodbye, but now it looks like if he is to be leaving Seville, it won't be to the MKM Stadium unless the La Liga outfit changes their stance.
The news will come as a blow to the Tigers, who remain light on attacking options with just over a week to go until the transfer window closes on Tuesday week at 11pm. Before then. City still want to sign at least one winger, and two more attackers to support and challenge Oli McBurnie, while a goalkeeper and right-back remain high on the agenda, and potentially, another midfield player.
City, however, are in talks with Chelsea over striking a loan deal for Portuguese midfielder Dario Essugo. The 21-year-old will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge before the window closes on Tuesday week, and City are trying to wrap up a season-long loan agreement for a player who joined the Blues for £18m from Sporting Lisbon last summer.
