Osimhen earns more than Saka: Arsenal warned of huge cost to sign Galatasaray marksman
Transfer rumours continue to circulate regarding Victor Osimhen, who started the 2026-27 season in stunning fashion, registering five goal involvements (four goals and one assist) in his opening two Super Lig matches.
Arsenal are reportedly in the market for a marquee centre-forward and have been linked with Atlético Madrid's Argentina star Julián Alvarez as well as Osimhen.
The Sun's digital journalist Kieran Davies has warned Arsenal that signing the former African Footballer of the Year from Galatasaray could come at a huge financial cost.
Osimhen currently earns around £326,000 (approximately N0.6 billion in Nigerian currency) a week in Turkey, meaning he may need to lower his wage demands considerably if Arsenal are to complete a deal for him.
Writing in The Sun, Davies explained: "You have to wonder what Arsenal would have to offer Victor Osimhen to prize him away from Galatasaray.
"He is currently on £326k per week in Turkey and would not doubt want more from any potential suitors."
Bukayo Saka is reportedly Arsenal’s highest earner, taking home an estimated £300,000 per week, leaving him £26,000 short of Osimhen's Galatasaray salary.
Osimhen earns a guaranteed annual salary of €15 million at Galatasaray, in addition to a net loyalty bonus of €1 million per season and €5 million per year in image rights.
