Liverpool-linked Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye have been left out of Paris Saint-Germain's squad for their clash against Rennes on Sunday. PSG will reportedly demand a combined total of €204million (£175m) for the Reds-linked pair.

It comes after the European and French champions signed wingers Mika Godts from Ajax and Spanish World Cup winner Ferran Torres from Barcelona this summer. Luis Enrique's squad are now bloated with attacking options, particularly in wide areas, and Andoni Iraola's team could be the biggest beneficiaries.

Both Barcola and Mbaye were left out of PSG's squad for their French Super Cup defeat to Lens last weekend. Now both stars are out of the club's Ligue 1 opener at Rennes this evening.

Barcola is understood to be keen on becoming a part of Iraola's team, however, PSG's £130m-valuation is understood to be a problem. It has recently been claimed in the French media that an offer between £111m and £128m could seal a deal.

Mbaye, meanwhile, is a much cheaper option for the Reds. Recent reports have claimed that the forward is expected to fetch between £30m and £45m.

The French media have also claimed that Liverpool have reached an agreement with the 18-year-old on financial terms and a five-year deal. Both players would provide a much-needed attacking boost for Iraola after the Reds waved goodbye to Mohamed Salah.

Barcola scored 13 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions last term as PSG won Ligue 1 and the Champions League. Teenager Mbaye, meanwhile, scored three goals and registered two assists in 29 appearances for the Parisian giants.

Enrique was pressed on Barcola's future before the UEFA Super Cup earlier this month, but remained tight-lipped.

He said: "I don't know and I don't want to speak about any player individually because it's always dangerous when you are asking something positive or negative about a player. I stay focused on my team."

New Reds boss Iraola, meanwhile, recently made it clear his side are in need of more wingers.

The 44-year-old said: "In terms of what we need, there are certain situations that, for me, are clear, especially on the wing because we do not have enough players able to play in those positions.

"Beyond those positions, I think we have to be open-minded in the market and look at situations that can improve our team. It is not about signing a player because we need someone in a particular position.

"No. It is about improving the squad. We have very good players already here, so to improve, you need a specific level of player."
