Manchester City have agreed a €100million deal with Lille to sign highly-rated teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi, GIVEMESPORT understands.
The Moroccan shot to stardom with a pivotal role in the 2026 World Cup as the African nation made it to the quarter-finals, eventually losing to France.
The 18-year-old was an integral member of the Morocco side, having been a mainstay in the midfield of a Lille side that finished third in Ligue Un last season.
Lille were keen to hold on to their teenage star for another season, with suggestions that a deal could be done this summer allowing the player to stay in France until next summer.
But he has been left out of the squad to face Angers in the league today, with City reaching an agreement for a €95million fixed fee and €5million in add-ons. Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti described him as "one of the best young players in the world" during the World Cup and the Premier League will now be his home.
