There are some superstars on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list who have been able to put up elite numbers no matter who is on the field. No matter who is guarding them or the other 10 men on their team on the field, they are still going to produce as a superstar does. Despite injuries around him, one player saw his ranking decrease. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been one of the most elite wideouts in the sport since getting drafted. After being inside the top five a year ago, he has fallen to the 16th spot on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list. NFL’s Grant Gordon wrote the following blurb regarding Chase’s dominance despite falling double-digit spots compared to his top-five placement a year ago:
“A statistical marvel once more despite the Bengals’ travails in a 6-11 season, Chase is a given when discussing the best wide receivers in the game. He led the AFC in receptions and receiving yards again despite playing much of the season without quarterback Joe Burrow.
“The definition of a go-to receiver, Chase led the league (for the second year in a row) with 185 targets, eclipsing 1,400 yards for the third time in his five seasons — which have each ended with him putting up north of 1,000 yards. Since entering the league in 2021, Chase has simply been a force, going to the Pro Bowl each season and has now posted three straight 100-catch campaigns with the last two seeing him combine for an eye-popping 252 receptions.”
For the second consecutive season, Chase led the league in targets. In 16 games, he finished with 125 catches on 185 targets for 1,412 yards (11.3 yards per reception) with eight receiving touchdowns. With the idea of having quarterback Joe Burrow under center for the entire season, Chase can continue to be one of the most productive wide receivers in the sport.
