The Las Vegas Raiders have a major injury concern on their hands with running back Ashton Jeanty.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the California Post, Jeanty suffered an apparent lower leg injury during practice on Sunday and had to be helped off the field.

Ashton Jeanty injury update
Here’s the latest from Bonsignore:
“Bad news: Ashton Jeanty got hurt in practice today, could not put pressure on his leg when leaving the field,” Bonsignore reported. “Afterward, the Raiders gathered as a team to acknowledge the injury with a moment.”
ESPN’s Ryan McFadden adds that it looks to be a knee injury for the former No. 6 overall pick.

“Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty left practice early after suffering an apparent knee injury,” McFadden wrote.
McFadden revealed that Jeanty got hurt during team period after “diving for a catch and landed awkwardly,” and he also detailed how the team “took a knee and said a prayer.”
There is nothing positive in the details of the situation.
The fact that Jeanty couldn’t put weight on his leg is one thing, but it’s also especially troubling that the team was so somber afterward.
We can only hope it doesn’t end up being as bad as it looks initially.

Impact of Ashton Jeanty’s injury
If Ashton Jeanty misses an extended period of time, it would be a devastating blow to the Raiders’ offense.
After all, he’s the team’s No. 1 running back and showed flashes of superstar potential during his first season in the NFL as he operated with an awful supporting cast.

Despite being part of one of the NFL’s worse offenses, Jeanty still broke 1,300 yards from scrimmage, including 975 on the ground, and finished with 10 total touchdowns.
What would make a significant injury even worse is the fact that he stood to be a huge help to rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza by taking pressure off the young signal-caller whenever he was given the starting job.
