In what was already a highly anticipated game given how the last one ended, the WNBA matchup between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever featured fireworks when Sky guard Natasha Cloud exchanged words with former NBA player Enes Kanter who was sitting courtside. After a little back and forth, Kanter was eventually escorted from the arena.

Enes Kanter has made headlines in recent weeks regarding the WNBA over his attempt to enter the 2027 draft while trying to claim transgender status. The former No. 3 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, he legally changed his last name to Freedom and has been involved in various public issues since he last played in the NBA with the Boston Celtics during the 2021-22 season.
Natasha Cloud, on the other hand, was brought in to be a veteran leader for a young Sky team. She was a late addition to the roster, signing a contract after the start of training camp. Coming into Sunday’s game agains the Fever, she had appeared in a total of 36 games for the Sky, including 23 starts, at a little over 29 minutes per game.
She has been averaging 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals with splits of 47.5 percent shooting from the field, 35.5 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 86.5 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
As of publication, the Sky were trailing the Fever by double digits late in the fourth quarter. A loss by the Sky would mathematically eliminate them from playoff contention this season. The Fever are still battling for playoff positioning themselves.
