The 2026 offseason has been an eventful one for Kawhi Leonard. Barring the ongoing investigation into the Clippers‘ salary cap circumvention scandal, which has also held up his move to the Toronto Raptors, Leonard seems to be enjoying his time in China as part of his Asia tour. For the most part, the tour revolved around fan events in different cities and basketball clinics for young hoopers. However, one event generated particular interest.
NBA superstar Paul George famously took part in the “Jimeng 116 100-point Challenge,” facing Chinese streetball player Bai Jing in an intense one-on-one game. Despite being one of the league’s best two-way players, George conceded 60 points, something Kawhi Leonard called out when reacting to clips from the game.
Leonard’s reaction was undoubtedly part of the promotion for the Star Street 1v1 Battle, which hinted at an upcoming game with Bai Jing. However, when facing the streetball player, the 35-year-old backed up his earlier trash talk with a dominant 100-35 win.

Needless to say, playing a 100-point game can be a tiring and tedious affair for any player, even a professional. However, even though both he and George were likely playing at half speed, Kawhi Leonard managed to hold Bai Jing to just 35 points – all while wearing a tracksuit.
In many ways, Bai Jing deserves credit for scoring 35 points on one of the best defensive players in NBA history. However, when reacting to clips from the game on social media, several fans poured in with praise for the seven-time All-Star. Here are some of the reactions from X:
“Fried PG,” commented one user, calling out Paul George.
“And he did it wearing a goddamn jumpsuit,” observed another.
“Scored 100 points in a full tracksuit. My GOAT so tough,” chimed in one user.
“That kid did great against a 2x-NBA champ,” commented one fan, praising Bai Jing’s performance.
“He’s making sure we all know he worked for his endorsement money,” joked another, pointing to Leonard’s “no-show” sponsorship deals.
“Didn’t even take off the warmups lol,” added another fan.
“Lol, he kept his word because PG let bro score that much,” shared another user.
“NBA All-Star Weekend needs something like this,” proposed one fan.
“First was a play, then at some point he had to protect his reputation and then take it personally,” noted another.
“Kawhi would piss me off. He makes this s–t look easy,” stated a fan.
Although Kawhi Leonard claimed he would hold Bai Jing to under 10 points, the video clearly shows the superstar taking things easy. Still, with many fans noting how well the forward was moving during the game, there was excitement to see what he could bring to the table in the upcoming season.
At this juncture, there appears to be some uncertainty concerning Leonard’s future. While the move to the Toronto Raptors remains the most plausible outcome, the potential findings from the ongoing investigation could decide what penalties must be levied on the Clippers and/or the superstar.
Currently, however, Kawhi Leonard seems to be making the most of his time in China. From sharing tips on how to be a better defender to dropping hints about an upcoming song, the 35-year-old is certainly having an interesting offseason.
