Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma has weighed in on the heated confrontation involving former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom and Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud during Sunday's WNBA game between Chicago and Indiana.
Freedom was ejected from Wintrust Arena after an exchange with Cloud late in the third quarter, and Kuzma reacted to the incident on X.
"Look at the drama queen..... no, not Natasha. Grown man stepping over the baseline at a woman," Kuzma wrote and added a clown emoji.
Freedom ejected after exchange with Cloud
Freedom was sitting along the baseline wearing a black shirt that read, "WOMAN noun. adult human female."
After Cloud scored with 1:22 remaining in the third quarter and Indiana called a timeout, the Sky guard approached Freedom while yelling and pointing in his direction.
Freedom then held his arms out and stepped over the baseline onto the court before security personnel and several Chicago players moved between the two.
The former NBA center was subsequently escorted away from the court. As he left, he displayed the message on his shirt before later speaking with police officers outside the seating area.
Cloud did not speak with reporters following the game but met with team and league security afterward.
Sky coach backs Natasha Cloud
Chicago head coach Tyler Marsh strongly defended Cloud following the incident, describing her as someone who consistently stands up for her teammates.
"I told her that we all embrace her as someone who protects our team and protects people who need to be protected," Marsh said. "Tash is always going to stand on that, and we stand for Tash."
Freedom later criticized his removal from the arena on social media.
"I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!" he wrote on X.
Freedom had recently declared for WNBA Draft
The incident came only weeks after Freedom and former NBA player Royce White publicly declared themselves eligible for the WNBA Draft while saying they identify as women.
Freedom's appearance in Chicago was his first WNBA game since making that declaration.
The WNBA has not announced that Freedom is eligible for the draft, and his declaration itself does not establish eligibility under league rules.
Freedom, who spent more than a decade in the NBA, has increasingly focused on political and cultural issues since his playing career ended.
