The Oklahoma City Thunder have undergone plenty of changes this offseason, with the front office being hard at work so the team could stay below the dreaded second apron. To that end, general manager Sam Presti and company traded away three members of their 2025 championship-winning team, sending Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe, and Aaron Wiggins away in salary dumps to cut their payroll for the 2026-27 season.
However, it isn't only on the court where the Thunder will be having a new look next season. It is going to look different behind the scenes for OKC as well, as physical therapist and athletic trainer Dr. Tobi Owotomo is no longer with the organization, as per Clemente Almanza of Thunder Wire.
Owotomo was with the team over the past two seasons, but based on her LinkedIn account, she indeed is no longer with the team — noting in her bio that she's already a “former” member of the organization.
She was a fan favorite among Thunder fans, but they are wishing her the best in her next endeavors. She captured the hearts of fans, grabbing the attention of many after being deemed good-looking by many on social media.

Thunder fans, however, are seeing Owotomo's departure as a good omen. After all, OKC's former physical therapist and athletic trainer, Vanessa Brooks, left the team prior to the start of the 2024-25 campaign. Brooks joined the Los Angeles Lakers staff, and freed up the position for Owotomo.
OKC then proceeded to go all the way during the 2024-25 season, winning their first-ever NBA championship after a grueling seven-game war against the Indiana Pacers.
Perhaps Owotomo's departure would have the same unintended effect for the Thunder. They certainly have a solid chance of competing for a title next season considering that they brought back all of their core players and they have all the pieces they need to weather the departure of three important role players.
