The Cleveland Cavaliers could be considering another experienced wing as they put the finishing touches on their roster for the 2026-27 season.
Veteran free agent Bruce Brown has been linked with Cleveland.
"I heard veteran free agent Bruce Brown mentioned in connection to the Cavs," Terry Pluto of Cleveland.com said during an appearance on the Scarlet To The Land podcast, as cited by Hoops Wire.
The report does not indicate that negotiations are underway or that a signing is imminent.
Cleveland could have room for one more addition
The Cavaliers recently acquired Cam Whitmore as part of the multi-team deal that also brought Peyton Watson from the Denver Nuggets.
However, Whitmore is not expected to remain with Cleveland long-term. Once his situation is resolved, the Cavs would have the flexibility to add another player to the roster.
Brown would bring championship experience, positional versatility and another defensive-minded option on the wing.
The 30-year-old can operate as a guard or forward, handle the ball in secondary actions and defend several positions.

Brown's NBA career has included six franchises
Brown entered the NBA as the No. 42 overall pick in the 2018 draft after playing college basketball at Miami.
He began his career with the Detroit Pistons, spending two seasons there before joining the Brooklyn Nets in 2020.
Brown developed into a valuable role player in Brooklyn before signing with Denver in 2022. His first season with the Nuggets became the defining stretch of his career.
He averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists during the 2022-23 regular season before becoming an important part of Denver's playoff rotation as the Nuggets captured the first NBA championship in franchise history.
Brown then left Denver in free agency and signed with the Indiana Pacers.
His contract eventually became part of the Pascal Siakam trade that sent him to the Toronto Raptors, and he later spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans before returning to Denver in the summer of 2025.
He has now played for Detroit, Brooklyn, Denver, Indiana, Toronto and New Orleans during his NBA career.
