The summer transfer window officially slams shut next week and Leeds United still have work to do.
Daniel Farke’s side kicked off their Premier League campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Anton Stach’s 88th-minute free-kick sealed a big opening-weekend three points for the Whites after a strong defensive showing kept their clean sheet intact.
Leeds are due back at the City Ground in just over 24 hours, Forest being their Carabao Cup second round opponents. Full focus among Farke’s squad will be on that second trip to Nottingham but those above the German have transfer matters to sort.

Elland Road chiefs have until 11pm on Tuesday September 1 to conclude any business with the expectation being they will welcome at least a couple of new faces through the door. One position they are known to want a top-level addition is left-wing, with interest in Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk emerging last week.

The YEP understands Leeds are keen on a potential loan move for Mudryk with the BBC reporting an offer to take the Ukrainian international on board for the season has been rejected by Chelsea. The two clubs are believed to remain in talks heading into the window’s final week.
One Chelsea player Leeds aren’t thought to be eyeing is Liam Delap, despite reports of interest from them and a host of other Premier League clubs. Stamford Bridge chiefs want £40m for the striker but the YEP believes those reports of interest from West Yorkshire are wide of the mark.
Leeds waved goodbye to a pair of fringe players last week with Joel Piroe and Sebastiaan Bornauw joining West Ham and Hamburg on loan respectively. Goalkeeper Lucas Perri is expected to follow the pair out the exit door, with Serie A outfit Torino still looking his most likely destination.
